Fall Wedding Day in Richfield NC

A huge congratulations to Abbie and Jake! Their wedding day is one I will remember for a long time. Originally, Abbie and Jake’s fall wedding day was meant to be in Asheville NC but after Hurricane Helene, Abbie, Jake, their family, friends, and their vendor team had to pivot. Everyone rallied together to create a special celebration for Abbie and Jake at Abbie’s twin sister’s home in Richfield NC. It was truly incredible to watch everyone come together – creating a magical plan B option within ONE WEEK for the newlyweds. Despite everything, Abbie and Jake are now married – and their fall wedding in Richfield turned out to be stunning!!

Fall Wedding Day in Richfield NC

Abbie, her twin sister Kenzie and I were in the same class in high school and I photographed Kenzie’s wedding in April last year, so this wedding day was incredibly special to me. Abbie was able to prep at her sister’s house in the morning, and I loved catching up with everyone again. Everyone there was so excited that we had all managed to pull off this Plan B wedding – and have it look as magical and gorgeous as Abbie and Jake had hoped. Abbie and Jake decided to do a first look (after Abbie’s first look with her dad!) and they even got to have their sweet pup with them!!

Kenzie and HUSBAND managed to turn their backyard into a dreamy ceremony site and erected a white tent for the reception. It was incredible. The most amazing part was that their DJ and musicians were able to make it from Asheville. They provided a great atmosphere for the ceremony and celebration. Plus, we had the most beautiful weather!

Truly, everything came together so perfectly for Abbie and Jake. I’m still obsessed with the florals that converted that plain white tent into something special. Abbie and Jake, thank you for being so flexible and trusting us to help make your day come together. I’m so honored to have been part of this day – and a huge thank you to your families for welcoming me back!
