I know I might be a bit biased, but I truly think I have the most beautiful brides! Kayla is one of those gorgeous women – both inside and out. I met her while we were students at Appalachian State. She actually modeled for me while I was studying photography there, so it was a huge honor when she asked me to capture her wedding day this March! It feels like we’ve come so far from those college days! Before her wedding day, Kayla and I met up in downtown Kannapolis for a bridal portrait session. I’m so happy we could capture how beautiful of a bride she is!
Southern Bridal Portraits in Downtown Kannapolis
For Kayla’s bridal portraits, we focused on First Baptist Church for more traditional portraits as well as a few outside as the sun set in Kannapolis. She was absolutely stunning! Kayla chose the perfect gown for a March wedding. Her gown has beautiful lace sleeves and a full skirt, with more lace overtop. Kayla showed off her long brown hair and carried a sweet bouquet of blue and white flowers paired with dainty baby’s breath. So gorgeous!
I love that Kayla and I got to create portraits for her in the church. It’s such a beautiful spot – and it’s often hard to capture quiet moments like this on a wedding day. There’s so much going on at your ceremony location. But these are so beautiful and now we don’t have to worry about it on her wedding day!
Kayla, I feel honored that you chose me to be your wedding photographer! It’s crazy how small our world is – growing up in the same area, different high schools, and then finding each other at Appalachian. I’m so grateful for you! I hope you enjoy looking back on your beautiful bridal portraits in Downtown Kannapolis!
