I’m so happy for Kathryn and Henry! The newlyweds tied the knot this winter in a romantic winter wedding in Bedford, Virginia. It’s been awhile since I’ve photographed a wedding at a private residence and I had forgotten how much I absolutely love them. They’re always such sweet celebrations, quiet and intimate. Their wedding day was simply perfect for Kathryn and Henry, who I also adore. Kathryn and Henry are perfect together and I’m so happy they’re now husband and wife! 

Bethesda United Methodist Church Ceremony

Kathryn and Henry had a first look together at the Bedford home before heading to the church for their ceremony. I love that the chapel was decorated for Christmas! It just felt so holiday-ish, and so sweet for their ceremony. We lucked out, because of their first look, we were able to get a lot of portraits on the property. It started to rain and got really windy about 30 minutes before we headed to the church, so I’m so happy they opted to do a first look! After the ceremony, they spent time mingling with their family who was able to attend. It was so special to see them all together!! 

Intimate Wedding Reception at Bedford Home

Once the ceremony was over, everyone headed back to the home for their reception. Because everything was held in the Bedford home, the entire event felt so intimate, casual, and just so them. Kathryn and Henry were able to celebrate with their families with champagne and a delicious cake. It was perfect! Afterwards, they headed out in the rain for a few portraits with me. I brought clear umbrellas for the day and it paid off, because we got some incredible shots of them together in the rain! It was definitely the best ending to their rainy winter wedding day. 

Congratulations again, Kathryn and Henry! I’m so happy I could be with you for your intimate wedding day. When days are smaller like this, the fact that I’m with my couples means even more to me. I’m so happy for you both! Enjoy a little look back at your wedding day!!
