Ritchie Hill Bridal Portraits
Colby’s Spring Ritchie Hill Bridal Portraits
Colby‘s Ritchie Hill bridal portraits were like something out of a dream! I get a little bit excited about visiting Ritchie Hill because it is actually where I got married!!! So, needless to say, it has a very special place in my heart. I got to meet Colby and some of her family members on a beautiful summer afternoon. She looked absolutely stunning in her mermaid style beaded gown! I loved all of the detail and the sweetheart neckline. Her wedding hair and make up was seriously GOALS! She just looked like a classic bride. Colby picked such a beautiful color palette for her bridal bouquet, which was reflected in her actual wedding colors!
Indoor Spaces
We started her Ritchie Hill bridal portrait session in one of the getting ready spaces upstairs. I love using the upstairs rooms because they get lovely natural light anytime of day. Some of my favorites from upstairs include the close-up shots and the twirling ones! I am a sucker for a good dress twirling photo!!!
We headed to the sleeping porch, which is kind of a secret space on Ritchie Hill’s property. It is a beautiful, spacious porch on the side of the upstairs portion of the house. It is private and quiet and, of course, gets great light from all sides! When we were on the porch, we included Hollis, Colby and Adam’s sweet little boy. He seriously makes the cutest facial expressions and it was no different when we added him into the photos!!!
Outdoor Bridal Portraits at Ritchie Hill
After we spent lots of time on the sleeping porch, we headed downstairs and outside to the front of the house. I love the grounds of Ritchie Hill. The staff always keeps the landscape looking immaculate! I swear, it’s green any time of year. We did some beautiful photos right in front of the house, then it started storming out of nowhere!!! A complete downpour. It was kind of insane, but get this… right after the downpour we got the most beautiful golden light! Seriously, I could not have dreamed up that light. Make sure you scroll to the end of the blog post to see my ideal lighting situation…haha! Don’t miss the super sweet photos of Hollis with the kiss on his cheek!!! 🙂
This was such a fun bridal portrait session! I encourage all of my brides to do bridal portraits because it is such a fun addition to the wedding planning process! I’m so excited to finally be sharing these portraits now that Colby and Adam are married. Be on the lookout for their wedding post soon!
