A Hotel Concord Wedding
I’m so excited to be sharing Amanda and Wesley’s amazing Hotel Concord wedding. Amanda and Wesley got married in July 2019. The Hotel Concord is definitely one of my favorite venues! I just love the space, especially after they have made the ballroom so light and airy with a brand new paint color.
As you guys may have noticed, I am catching up on some older content and finally sharing it on my blog. I have never been good at scheduling out blog posts but some of these past weddings and sessions are just too good not to share! Better late than never!!!
Getting Ready
Amanda and all of her bridesmaids got ready in an apartment suite above the hotel ballroom. I love that they have these apartments available for brides on their wedding day as a getting ready space. Wesley and his groomsmen got ready in the suite just above the ballroom. We had to be careful so they wouldn’t see each other before the ceremony!
Vintage Inspired 40s Bridal Look
Amanda has one of the most unique bridal looks I’ve ever gotten to photograph!!! I loved her off the shoulder silky white dress. Her hairstyle was so reminiscent of the 40s to me, and her bright red natural hair color made it that much more beautiful. She chose to wear simple pearl jewelry that complemented her pure white wedding dress so well!
Bridal Party Portraits
Before the ceremony we got to do some portraits of Amanda and her bridesmaids and Wesley and his groomsmen. We used the altar space at the front of the ballroom for portraits because of the amazing natural light, and the beautiful greenery decor! I love that Amanda chose lilies for her bridesmaids. it’s a flower that we don’t see often at weddings, but it’s so beautiful and unique! Wesley and his groomsmen looked great in their gray three-piece suits and the ladies looked fabulous in their long burgundy dresses!
First Touch
Most of my couples choose to do a first look, and if they don’t do a first look, the first time that they have any interaction with each other is during the ceremony! Occasionally, I will get a couple like Amanda and Wesley who decide to do a first touch instead!
A first touch is a moment shared between a bride and groom where they simply reach around the corner and hold hands. Sometimes they pray together or share a few words before the ceremony. It’s a very sweet alternative to your first look! I personally loved this moment during Amanda and Wesley‘s wedding day!
A Hotel Concord Wedding Ceremony
It was finally time for the ceremony, and we were spoiled with some amazing music by Musically Yours! Amanda and Wesley were both emotional when they finally saw each other for the first time! It’s hard for us photographers not to get emotional too!
They shared communion together during their ceremony and created a cord of three strands. They were so happy after their first kiss as husband and wife, and walked out together all smiles! It’s always one of my favorite photos of the day.
After some photos with their bridal party and their sweet families, we finally got to do bride and groom portraits while the Hotel Concord staff flipped the space for the reception! I love all of the photos of Amanda and Wesley in front of the ceremony space – they’re just so classic and beautiful! We also took the opportunity to take Amanda and Wesley outside to a church nearby for portraits!
Amanda had requested photos outside the hotel with the Coke mural! They even had Coke bottles to share – it was so sweet and creative!
A Hotel Concord Reception
Then, it was almost time for the reception! We got some beautiful detail photos in the bright and airy space. After sharing a delicious dinner, Amanda and Wesley cut their cake and shared some champagne!
It was time for special dances – all of which were so sweet and fun for us to watch! Then, the DJ got the party started and I was amazed by how Amanda and Wesley and all of their friends and family were such great dancers!
They ended their night with a glow stick exit. I always love the exit photos! They even had Wesley’s amazing getaway car to escape in! Thank you Amanda and Wesley for having me be part of your beautiful Hotel Concord Wedding day!
