Now that McKenzie is a married woman, I can finally share her beautiful Ritchie Hill bridal portraits. I absolutely love shooting bridal portraits!!! It is such a fun time where any bride gets to see herself put together as a bride for the very first time. This is the first time that she’s had on her dress, had her hair and makeup completely done, and is wearing her jewelry and shoes – and she usually has the flowers that she plans to carry on her wedding day!

It is usually such an emotional moment for the bride to see herself for the first time, as well as for her mother or sister or whoever has tagged along to the session. For McKenzie’s bridals, we did them at Ritchie Hill, one of my all-time favorite venues in the Charlotte area. Her sweet mom came along for the portraits as well as her super cute dog Carter.

Even though it was raining quite a bit on that Sunday, we still had the best time shooting her bridal portraits! I started out in the bridal getting ready suite, which is my favorite room in the house because of the great natural light that it gets! It is so classic and beautiful. McKenzie had the most beautiful shoes and we showed off her gorgeous engagement ring as well. I love her engagement ring so much because it has a vintage feel to it!

After we spent some time inside the house, we ventured outside even though it was freezing cold, and did a few photos on the porch! We also did some in front of the house.  Then, we included her super sweet puppy, Carter, in the pictures. Give me a beautiful bride and a sweet little dog and I will be so happy! I can’t wait to share more of McKenzie’s wedding photos later this week! It was definitely a day to remember and I’m so excited for you all to see  McKenzie and Jacobs beautiful photos!
