WHY WE SHOULD PRACTICE BEING PHOTOGRAPHED Most photographers that I know (including me) don’t have their own photos taken very often. Why is that? Shouldn’t those of us whose livelihoods revolve around photography have our own photos taken? Some of us avoid it because we feel vulnerable and uncomfortable in front of the camera…and those […]
I am so excited to be sharing my favorite photos from Haynes and Michele’s beautiful winter wedding! We started the day by getting all of the girls ready at a nearby hotel. I loved their matching robes! We headed over to Verdict Ridge Country Club, where Michele got dressed and had such sweet emotional moments […]
I think it’s safe to say that Megan’s senior portraits are some of my all time favorites!!! I was blown away by Megan’s style, hair & makeup (which she did herself), and her modeling skills! Not to mention that she has such a sweet and gentle presence and was so fun to be around. She’s […]
I love doing senior portraits in downtown Kannapolis because the entire area has such a classic feel! The architecture around the downtown area and the NC Research Campus makes for beautiful backgrounds. Kacie’s senior session was in mid-October, so there was finally a little bit of a chill in the air! Sometimes it seems like it […]
Lily’s senior session was my first time shooting in downtown Davidson or at Davidson College! I had been wanting to do some type of shoot there for so long, so when she told me that’s where she wanted to shoot, I was so excited! Downtown Davidson has so much to offer–there are so many wonderful […]
It’s not very often that I get to photograph senior guys, so it’s nice to have that opportunity every once in a while! I have known Stephen and his family for what feels like forever, so for Stephen to be a senior at Concord High School this year feels crazy! We went out to The […]
I’m so excited to be sharing Lauren’s gorgeous Senior Session on the blog today! When she told me that she wanted to do her Senior Session at the Botanical Gardens at UNC Charlotte, I couldn’t have been more excited about it! This was my first time shooting there, and goodness gracious was it beautiful or […]
I absolutely love what I do and I know I chose the right major from the start. However, what I’ve been running into is that this industry can and will turn me into something that I’m not if I am not careful. It can turn me into someone that craves attention, popularity, and material things, and I know that is not who I am called to be. Honestly, just about any industry can manipulate you if you aren’t strong enough to say “That’s not who I am.”
I woke up on a Tuesday morning in mid-July so excited for Rylee’s Senior Session. We went out to The Orchard House, which will soon be a wedding venue, for her session. Everything about The Orchard House is adorable. There are pretty woodsy areas, a cute little garden, beautiful paths, and little buildings on the […]
I’m so happy to be sharing some of Raina’s Senior Session today! Some of the images from our time in downtown Concord are some of my favorite downtown Concord shots ever! The weather was perfectly overcast for a while…and then the bottom fell out. I’m talking torrential rain, booming thunder, and bolts upon bolts of lightning. […]
