Exciting News! I’m Hiring!!!

For Photographers

I am thrilled to announce that KDP is hiring! 

After a lot of thought and consideration, I have decided to expand my business and link arms with someone who will add value to the work that I am doing! I am excited to move forward into the next phase of my business. I have created the position of a Photography Assistant: an hourly position that will help to efficiently move my business forward.

Applicants must be self-starters, motivated workers, and eager to learn! As a Photography Assistant, you will be involved in assisting with weddings and portrait sessions. This includes prepping and keeping track of gear, assisting with lighting as needed, keeping tabs on the timeline during a wedding day, communicating with wedding coordinators and other vendors, checking off shot lists, etc. 

This position will begin as a shadowing and assisting position, and will evolve into a shooting position during the summer and fall months. This is not the same as an internship. I am looking for someone to join me from April to October of 2018 (and possibly longer).

Details:
-Start Date: March 2018
-Position: Contracted
-Compensation: starting at $10-15/hour based on experience; will increase when the transition from shadowing/assisting to shooting happens; unpaid training sessions
-Schedule: very flexible!
-Location: Concord, NC area

Qualifications:

Applicant MUST Be:
-NC Resident (preferably in Concord, NC area)
-Available on weekends
-Willing to attend and assist with weddings (usually on Saturdays)
-Willing to attend and assist with portrait sessions (usually on weekday evenings)
-Willing to travel for weddings
-Available April through October of 2018

This position is for you if: 
-You have a professional, friendly demeanor
-You have excellent written and oral communication skills
-You are knowledgeable of current trends, styles, and publications in the wedding industry
-You have a passion for photography, weddings, and organization
-You have a great work ethic,  you love to learn, you can work and problem solve independently, and you are very responsible
-You are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and contribute to a team
-You are very familiar with Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest
-A working knowledge of Photoshop, Lightroom, and WordPress would be a bonus!

Some things you can expect to learn: 
-The basics of social media to grow a small business and interacting with followers
-How to maintain photography equipment
-The flow of a wedding day and working with vendors
-What it takes to make weddings, portrait sessions, and editorial/styled shoots successful
-How to give clients a wonderful and memorable experience

This position is for someone who LOVES all things wedding and portrait photography, but does not want to deal with the business side of things! 

This holds the potential to turn into a long term position.
