Hello there friends! Happy October!

I can’t believe fall is actually here!!! The temperature is FINALLY cooling down, the leaves are changing and falling, and I am ready to break out the pumpkins, fall decor, and apple cider!!!

It’s busy season for us wedding & portrait photographers again! I only have one wedding of my own this month, but I’m assisting with several more, and have lots of portrait sessions I’m super excited about! Fall is my absolute favorite season for portrait sessions!

Many of you may know that I am definitely a to-do list kind of person. I am obsessed with checking tasks off of my list because I love that sense of accomplishment! I admit, I am one of those people that writes a task on a to-do list just to check it off, even if it’s already done!!! Haha! One thing I have never tried is setting monthly goals. So…I am going to try something new. At the beginning of every month, I’m going to create a Goals blog post for the month, and when I write the next month’s goals, I’ll check in with you guys and let you know how I did with the previous month’s goals! Things don’t happen on their own, and if I want to do more than scroll on Instagram, I need a plan in place, and a purpose behind that plan to make things happen.

October Goals

Business:

-Blog the remaining 2017 weddings including my October wedding!

-Editing: Gain 3 new clients for either this fall or for next year! You may have seen that I have taken on the role of private editor for wedding & portrait photographers! 

-Finish watching the KJ Posing Course I bought IN THE SPRING. What is wrong with me?!

-Review pricing and update for 2018

-Evaluate workflow and look for holes or changes to be made

-Finish and print Bridal Guide Magazine (this is a lofty goal!!!)

Personal:

-Read: Make it Happen by Lara Casey I think I have started this book four times you guys. I need to finish it once and for all!!!

-Enjoy down time in the mountains

-Get photos of AJ & I made by Elli McGuire!!!

-Do a fall purge and cleaning out of my closet!

-Start a gratitude journal TODAY and write three things I’m grateful for in it every night

WHEW! That’s a lot of goals. But I KNOW that the only way I’m going to get any of this done is by being vulnerable and sharing it here!!! Thanks for holding me accountable, friends!
