I’m so excited to be sharing Taylor and Ben’s engagement portraits with you! These two were one of the first 2022 weddings I booked and I’m so happy they chose me as their wedding photographer! Taylor and Ben are just so much fun to be around. They clearly enjoy every moment they have together – and their joy is infectious. I don’t think I stopped smiling their entire session. Two Elon University alums, they didn’t actually meet on campus – but instead, they went out with mutual friends and hit it off. It obviously worked out, as they’re now planning their dream wedding for next year. Since they moved to Belmont during the pandemic, it seemed like a no brainer to have a Downtown Belmont engagement session to celebrate their next chapter!

Downtown Belmont Engagement Session

Downtown Belmont turned out to be the perfect spot for Taylor and Ben’s engagement portraits. Our first stop was Kevin Loftin Park, which is right on the Catawba River. It was just gorgeous and we took our time exploring the waterfront. Taylor and Ben got to cuddle up on the wooden benches and we enjoyed the start of a gorgeous sunset. To me, there’s nothing more romantic than waterfront portraits! Everyone’s just so happy along the water. Afterwards, we moved further into the downtown area. And we totally lucked out, we basically had the street to ourselves! It was a lot of fun walking with Taylor and Ben in front of City Hall and watching them dance in the crosswalks. Taylor’s dress was perfect for spinning – and Ben had a great time making her laugh doing so.

Congratulations again Taylor and Ben! I can’t wait for your Separk Mansion wedding next year! It’s going to be beautiful, I just know it!
