Green Park Inn Wedding: Ashley and Isaac

Weddings

May 20, 2021

Congratulations Ashley and Isaac!! These two are so sweet – and now, they’re husband and wife! I’ve known Ashley for years. We met through the campus ministry at Appalachian State. Ashley’s just SO sweet and fun to be around. And when I met Isaac, I knew they were the absolute perfect match for each other. Together, they radiate happiness and joy. It makes being around them so wonderful. Recently, I photographed their intimate Green Park Inn wedding and I’m so excited to share it with you!

Green Park Inn Wedding

Ashley and Isaac’s wedding day was so special, full of traditional and beautiful moments with their closest family. Ashley wore special jewelry from multiple family members, which made her entire look so meaningful. She and her father had a first look, which is always super sweet. Ashley actually surprised him with donuts from a local shop, which is something they enjoy together often!

And Isaac was the MOST stylish groom. I’m still a little obsessed with his portraits! After their portraits were captured individually, Ashley and Isaac met for a first look on the balcony of their hotel room. It was SUPER sweet! Isaac’s reaction was seriously the best!!! When the bride and groom were ready, we headed outside for their portraits. I’m so happy we had such beautiful weather. It was a blessing!!!!

Chinese Tea Ceremony

After their family portraits, Ashley and Isaac had a classic Chinese Tea Ceremony. Honestly, this was my first experience photographing a Tea Ceremony and I loved every moment!! These ceremonies are a way for the couple to honor their parents while serving them tea and listening to their advice. Throughout the ceremony, there is also a gift exchange. Ashley’s parents presented her these beautiful jade earrings and Isaac received pewter cuff links! And Isaac’s parents gave them a set of Korean ducks to celebrate his background. After that, the bride and groom sat while their younger siblings served them tea and gifts were given then, too. Seriously, the entire thing was just wonderful!!

Later in the evening, we had a delicious dinner and cake from Stick Boy. I was super happy when I found out Ashley and Isaac were going to have them do their cake. It’s one of my favorite places to go to when I visit Boone!!! And since their day was so intimate, I actually sat with the family at dinner – by her sister and brother-in-law! The rest of the night was filled with lots of happy tears and laughs through emotional toasts from their family. And Ashley and Isaac ended the night with a sparkler exit! Congratulations again, Ashley and Isaac! I loved your gorgeous Green Park Inn wedding day and I’m so honored I could be there with you!
