As an Appalachian State alum, I absolutely LOVE any time I get to go into the mountains for a wedding day. After Kim and Jonathan’s foggy mountain engagement session, I couldn’t wait for their Sky Retreat wedding day. Although it was definitely a chilly day, their wedding was seriously stunning and I loved every minute of it. Kim and Jonathan were incredible sports and it was all worth it in the end!
Winter Bridal Look
I just LOVED Kim’s bridal look. She was elegant, yet effortless… making the most beautiful winter bride. Her wedding dress had the most beautiful lace overlay. And my favorite part of her look was definitely her tiara! Just gorgeous!! She was able to get ready with her girls before meeting with Jonathan for their first look. First looks always make me so emotional. And this one was no exception!
Sky Retreat Wedding
Kim and Jonathan had the most beautiful florals for their winter wedding. I don’t know how April Flowers pulled it off – but everything looked STUNNING! The gorgeous peaches and reds in the flowers really brought the space to life at the Sky Retreat. After a sweet ceremony, we took Kim and Jonathan outside for some (cold) wedding portraits! They braved the cold – and we got some incredible shots. But, we moved quickly!!! We were pretty much shooting the whole time we were outside and it paid off. Â Afterwards, they were able to warm back up during their intimate wedding reception. It was just perfect!!!
It’s hard to choose a favorite moment of Kim and Jonathan’s wedding day. From the moment AJ and I arrived, we were welcomed into the group so well. Their wedding party was a blast and made sure we were taken care of. And their families were just SO sweet to us! It’s always appreciated and we can’t thank them enough!! Congratulations again, Kim and Jonathan!
